Don Quixote
Baryshnikov Version, 1983, ABT
Originally produced in Vienna 1740 by Franz Hilverding, it has been revised several times. The version which survives is by Petipa and Minkus in 1869. In 1924 Anna Pavlova brought it to the West in an abridge form. Ninette de Valois staged a full length version for Covent Garden in 1950, and Mikhail Baryshnikov created his own version after Petipa in 1980 for the ABT. The version we will see features Misha as Basilio and Cynthia Harvey as Kitri/Dulcinea.
Runtime: 90 minutes.
